The Magic Kingdom

Chernabog has kidnapped the Dreamfinder and is using his machine to take the power of dreams and imagination for his own evil plans. Chernabog has given this dream power in the form of Crystals to villains throughout the Magic Kingdom. Figment seeks out a Dreamer, someone with an exceptional imagination, to help him save Dreamfinder and the world. The Dreamer he finds is, of course, our hero. The hero is a custom designed character and can be further customized with collectable outfits. Figment and our hero travel throughout the Magic Kingdom defeating bosses to collect enough crystals to be able to defeat Chernabog and save the day.

- Plot -

- Collectables -

There are multiple different items to collect.

Staffs:

Weapons you collect throughout the game. Small number of staffs to find.

Spell Cards:

These unlock new spells. You can only equip a small amount to your staff at a time, so choose carefully. The design of these is inspired by the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom cards.

Notes:

Hidden throughout the world (like Korok seeds in Breath of the Wild), these musical notes can be traded in for songs that players can listen to at any time. They serve as a good quest for completionists. Maybe rewards like spell cards and staffs for reaching a certain amount of notes to give a more practical reward too.

Crystals:

These crystals contain the power of dreams. The power that Chernabog is using to create a nightmare. These are collected by defeating bosses or other major challenges. The player must collect a certain amount (all?) to face Chernabog and attempt to save the day.

Pixie Dust:

The main currency of the game. Used to buy Outfits, costumes, autograph book upgrades, and hats from stores and food from restaurants.

Food:

The main health item. Dropped by enemies, found in broken boxes/barrels, or bought from restaurants.

Autographs:

Autographs are collected from Disney characters around the world. Some are easy to get, others require you do a special mission or challenge. These autographs work as stated boosters (some may have special effects too) raising the heroes attack, defense, etc. The autographs are arranged in the players autograph book. Players can equip as many autographs as they can fit on the page.

- Gameplay -

Gameplay is focused on exploration and light platforming. Rideable creatures and vehicles serve as quicker ways to get around and fast travel tools help even more. Combat is also a big focus. Our hero's weapon is a magic staff. It can be used as a melee weapon up close, or to cast spells. The spells are linked to cards collected throughout the game. New staffs give different bonuses and allow for more cards to be equipped giving you more spells at a time.

- DLC: Star Wars Galaxy's Edge -

Galaxy's Edge will be added to the world map in the south east corner (the cloudy area near Tomorrowland). Based on the upcoming land coming to Disneyland and Hollywood Studios, Galaxy's Edge is based on a new planet to the Star Wars mythos, Batuu. This used to be a vibrant trading port back in the old sub-lightspeed days, but now with advent of hyperspace, its prominence has kind of fallen and faded a little bit which has made it a great spot for those who didn't want to be on that kind of mainstream path. The smugglers, the bounty hunters, the rogue adventurers looking to crew up. The people who don't want to be found (basically all the interesting people).

When our hero enters this amazing new land, he is hit by a storm trooper stun gun. The storm troopers take the stunned Figment mistaking him for a droid carrying important info for the resistance. Luckily, our hero happens to find BB-8 who will serve as our guide/companion for this DLC. The hero gets caught up in the battle between the First Order and the Resistance! Eventually helping Rey and the resistance destroy a star destroyer that has been terrorizing Batuu and save Figment from his captors. The story culminates in an exciting boss fight with Kylo Ren on top of the Millenium Falcon as Rey flies it across the whole of the Magic Kingdom!

A new bounty hunter side quest is also added. Intergalactic criminals have been spotted in the Magic Kingdom! Become a bounty hunter to help track them down! Visit the Bounty Bulletin Board in the Cantina to get your next Target. Each Target is given to you one at a time. You are given some information to help track them down. These clues get tougher to decipher the more you do. After finding the Target (who could be anywhere in the Magic Kingdom, not just in Galaxy's Edge), defeat them and return to the Bounty Bulletin Board for your reward (often Pixie Dust and outfit pieces). Complete all 20 planned out Bounty Hunter Missions to receive Boba Fett's autograph (One of the best in the game) as well as his armor as a costume. After completing the 20 planned out missions, players can still return to the bulletin board to get a randomly generated mission to take out one of the 20 bounty's again somewhere new in the kningdom for some Pixie Dust.

New character signatures will be added based on characters from the exciting recent Star Wars movies (such as Rey, Finn, Poe, and more). A new staff (themed to Yoda's cane), a new spell card (Force push), new vehicles and mounts (such as swoop bikes and pod racers), new songs (The iconic score to the Star Wars films), new costumes and outfit pieces, and new foods (blue milk!) can be found in Galaxy's Edge! The new boss fight against Kylo Ren will also reward players with another Crystal.
